i done did it. finally. i cut off all(most) of my hair. it had been a good run of afros, sideshow bobs and flip flopping curls, but today i walked by a hair emergency room and went in for some treatment. andy, my new tattooed, big glasses’d friend with scissors at his side spent about half an hour untangling my mop (he says i even had 1 or 2 dreads in the making!!) and then another half hour hacking away. the end result? well…it doesn’t look like this anymore, but i’ve decided i really like it a lot. who knew i had a face to look at?

i suppose i could take a picture and post it…but…i’d rather see you in person and you can judge for yourself.

some of you may shed some tears. in that case, feel free to pour one out for my deceased locks. please dont though. you at least pretend to like it!

enough with blogging though. i’m going to look at myself in the mirror for a couple hours or so to get used to it. adios.

tomorrow is the 4th of july. i am going camping. in the backyard of a suspected haunted mansion on “mystery point.” if i come back alive i’ll talk about it. if only some of us come back alive i might talk about it. if i dont come back alive, safe to say i wont be talking about it - although i could blog from the grave. aaaaanyways, cheers to pbr, hot dogs, pie and king george as a sucky monarch

this is my new favorite show. its hard for me to say this, but…i cannot wait for the fall! (although i suppose id rather have a summer than watch a tv show, but i did have to think about that tradeoff pretty darn hard).

curbed just posted this peak into the apthorp apartments. i used to dream about huge loft spaces in greenpoint. now i want this. all of this. now.

seriously folks, could you imagine living here? as john puts it: “one of these things is not like the other” would be my everyday life. for those of you out of the know, he’s implying that i am not a massively wealthy celebrity, wasp, or oil tycoon. this is sadly correct.

the other day i went to the william eggleston exhibit at the whitney. aside from the room being way too dark, i was able to get into a lot of his work. if you’ve never heard of him, he’s basically been singlehandedly credited for ushering color photography into the art world and making the snap-shot an acceptable art form during his 50+ years behind the lens. his colors are insanely saturated (in a good way), and make every scene look so real it becomes surreal.
